Dana's Jeeps

Galveston, TX

1999 Jeep TJ

Bought with my first paycheck after college!

I bought this Jeep after college because it was cute.  It came with a video demonstrating the Jeep's features, along with an ad in the back for Jeep Jamboree.  When I googled Jeep Jamboree hundreds of Jeep clubs came back, including some in Texas.  I went to my first Jeep club meeting that weekend and the Jeep Thing quickly spiraled!  It stll has its stock 4.0L I-6 engine and AX-15 5 speed tranny, but all else has changed.

The above photo was its first build-up with 38" Super Swamper TSLs, Dana 60 axles with 5.38 gears, disk brakes and Detroit lockers.  TeraLow 4:1 was installed in the transfer case and a full rollcage was added.  It would be a couple of months before it got cow horns!

The below photo is on Crystal Geyser trail in Moab, UT in the Jeep's current configuration.  38" Maxxis Creepy Crawlers on Allied Beadlocks, Kilby Air System, Atlas 4 spd transfer case & tube fenders.

The Jeep in 2007 on Hells Revenge...

The jeep currently sports a 10:1 Atlas Transfer case, Dana 60 axles with 5.38 ratio and full Detroit lockers.  Rolling on 38" Maxxis Creepy Crawlers on allied beadlocks she has disk brakes to stop her and a Kilby air system to air back up or run tools.  A full roll cage for protection and  Tuffy toolbox in back for securing tools.
